Megan comes to IBE from the federal grant world having worked with Boise State’s TRIO Upward Bound program for over ten years as an Educational Specialist and Summer Internship Coordinator. She was elected president of the Idaho Association of TRIO Professionals in 2020, and while serving developed a deeper appreciation for the power of effective education policy at the state, regional, and national levels.

While president she piloted a First-Gen Summit for Idaho’s postsecondary education leaders and kickstarted the fundraising for an endowed student scholarship. In 2022, she participated in an Executive Leadership Institute at Princeton University where she was reminded yet again about the importance of collaboration in addressing education challenges.  She has chaired and co-chaired numerous events, including the 2023 annual conference for TRIO professionals in the Northwest region.

She holds degrees from Northwest Nazarene University, the University of Cambridge, and recently completed a PhD in Public Policy and Administration at Boise State University.  In her spare time, she likes to laugh with friends and family, explore the great outdoors, and eat fresh peaches
