Emily Merrigan is Southwest Idaho’s Program Manager and Regional Director for the Idaho Business for Education Youth Apprenticeship Program (YAP), where she connects classrooms to careers. Emily believes that thoughtful apprenticeships can inspire fulfilling new careers for Idaho’s youth, and create productive, happy employees for Idaho’s businesses.

Emily comes to Idaho Business for Education with a background in Career and Technical Education (CTE). She earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Idaho, accompanied by an Idaho Teaching Certificate. She has agricultural industry experience in and out of the classroom ready to use to create apprenticeship opportunities for Idaho students and businesses.
