Youth Apprenticeship connects 16-24-year-olds to great careers and pay with local Idaho employers. Students earn while they learn, work with an On-the-Job mentor, get additional education and training to develop expertise, and earn a national certification.
Through a joint effort with the Idaho Workforce Development Council, Idaho Department of Labor, and Idaho Career and Technical Education, Idaho Business for Education (IBE) is scaling up Idaho’s Youth Apprenticeship program, with a goal of placing 400 apprentices by 2024 in some of the over 1,200 occupations available through Registered Apprenticeships.
